Hi, I’m Megan — the hands behind Knollwood Pottery!

I make colorful, handmade pottery meant to be used and loved every day. I’m especially drawn to the “bread-and-butter” pieces — mugs, spoon rests, bowls, and the little things that earn a spot in your daily rhythm. Honest truth: you can never have too many coffee mugs!

Glaze is where I get to play. I mix my own glazes, and use commercial ones too, and I’m forever chasing new combinations and patterns between the two — playful surfaces on forms that still feel useful.

I’ve been making pottery for seven years, and creating is the passion I never could put down. Nothing makes me happier than hearing one of my mugs has become their go-to — the one they reach for without thinking. I have a few favorite mugs by other artists myself, so I know how special that feels.

I’d like to think I’m a bright and grateful person at heart. Creating with clay has walked with me through harder seasons, and it’s also how I stay close to the joy I feel every day. Getting to create is one of the biggest gifts in my life. Off the wheel, that joy looks like laughing and living life with my boyfriend and our two cats (of course!).
